Vote ARC Students for Change - Student Body Elections, April 20 and 21

GENERAL INFORMATION

Welcome to the official webpage for the American River College Students for Change campaign.  This site is dedicated to supporting quality student leaders seeking election to the Assoicated Student Body of American River College.  Please take a few minutes to explore our site, study the issues and history of representative government at ARC, and learn about our candidates and opponents.

Student Body elections will take place Tuesday and Wednesday, April 20th and 21st, from 9am to 7pm.  If you are an American River College student, please stop by a polling location on either day to cast your vote for quality student leadership. 

The Associated Student Body of American River College is the officially recognized student representative body chartered by the Los Rios Community College District Board of Trustees. Holding student elections once each year for officers and twice each year for representatives, the ASB is comprised of 18 members elected to advocate for and represent the students of American River College before college and district governance bodies, local, county, and state government agencies. As a representative body, the ASB's focus is divided between advocating through the shared governance model and generating campus involvement through events and campus clubs. Shared governance, stemming from California legislation piece AB1725, is the organization's primary method of representing the student body and is provided for in California Education Code (Title 5).

Any student or community member wishing to participate in or support our campaign should not hesitate to contact us at arcstudentsforchange@gmail.com.  Please include your name, return address, phone number, and a brief description of your availability and any experience or ability that you would like us to be aware of. A campaign representative will contact you as soon as possible.
